Joining forces to help the Police

Free examinations to Police Officers

The Policing Pledge was recently introduced by the Government and has been adopted by police forces across the country. It shows a commitment to providing the public with the best possible service, making our area a safer place to live.

The Policing Pledge has ten key themes and sets out the standards of service they aspire to deliver. One such promise is that the neighbourhood policing teams are to spend at least 80% of their time ‘on the beat.’ Most of us probably agree that this is essential and to be encouraged, but we might not realise the considerable distances that the policemen and women are walking.

Whilst regular, moderate exercise is good for us, there is some concern that the sudden increased level of physical activity that the Police Pledge is creating could heighten the already considerable cost of absenteeism within the police force. Back pain is one of the most common complaints among patients, according to GPs.

Now the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence Nice has recommended a number of additional therapies including Chiropractic.

Chiropractic is a regulated health profession, specialising in the treatment of joint, muscle and nerve problems.

State Registered Chiropractors use safe manual adjustments to restore mobility and relieve pain.

Whilst a lot of people still think that Chiropractors just treat backs – which they do treat very successfully – they also help with:
  • Neck and back pain
  • Postural and muscular pain
  • Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand joint pain
  • Hip, knee, ankle and foot pain
  • Migraine headaches
  • Sports injuries

Dynamic Chiropractic currently treats many members of the police force. It is a highly recommended clinic, being awarded the national PPQM - Patient Partnership Quality Mark.

To help support the local police force, Dynamic Chiropractic is prepared to offer any police officer a Free Examination (worth £25) on production of valid ID. The in-house Chiropodist is also prepared to offer a £5.00 fee reduction on any treatments to member of the Force.
