Straighten Up UK

Straighten Up UK Campaign

Dynamic Chiropractic is looking to roll out the Straighten Up UK campaign in local schools and clubs. We will be looking at the importance of good posture and exercise, paying particular attention to how the children should be carrying their school bags and how to sit correctly at the P.C. It will be a lot of fun with the children doing some exercises and being involved in discussions.

The aim is to prevent aches and pains following them into young adulthood.

Chiropractic Awareness Week

England Is In The Top Three Countries For Back Pain

A poll of over 15,000 people across seven European Countries reveals that Germany is number one, Italy is number two and England is third for all the wrong reasons, with 52% complaining of back pain.

The 'Euro Back Pain Barometer' from The British Chiropractic Association (BCA), shows back pain in the UK is on the increase, rising by 5% in just 12 months, with 52% of the country currently suffering, compared to 47% in 2007.

The new survey, launched to coincide with the start of Chiropractic Awareness Week (14th to 20th April), reveals that across the countries surveyed, on average, at least half of the population suffers with back pain.

Across all seven countries, the single biggest cause of back pain is bad posture; but it's not just bad posture that can trigger back pain problems:

  • Italian fashion has a lot to answer for with nearly 15% of back pain sufferers in Italy blaming their high heels for back pain
  • Whilst in Germany, using a computer is the second most common trigger for back problems
  • In the UK, pregnancy is a bigger trigger of back pain than anywhere else
More shocking is the 'grin and bear it' culture across Europe, on average, people with back pain have been suffering for 3-5 years. However 23% of Brits with back pain have been suffering for 10 or more years.
The soaring levels of back pain across Europe are also having an effect on the economy with many taking long periods of time off work. In the UK more than 1 in 20 sufferers say they have taken more than six months off work, compared to Italy where it is less than 1 in 500.

Not surprising when you consider that the vast majority of back pain sufferers across all countries have office based jobs, where poor posture seems to be increasingly prevalent. Hours of sitting and slouching over computer keyboards is evidently taking its toll.

Over one in four sufferers across Europe are experiencing back pain on a daily basis, hitting the medicine cabinet as the common port of call, despite the majority of respondents admitting that pain killers do not work for them.

Doug Clark from Dynamic Chiropractic comments, "Incidence of back pain is continuing to rise at an alarming rate in Britain and across Europe as a whole. It really does affect every aspect of our lives.

"We are encouraging people to incorporate a very simple three minute exercise routine, entitled 'Straighten Up Europe', into their daily lives to help strengthen the spine and improve posture. Chiropractors are State Registered, treating all joint, muscle and nerve pain. There really is no need for people to put up with aches and pains."

Open Day At The Award Winning Dynamic Chiropractic Clinic

Open Day
Dynamic Chiropractic Clinic
Saturday 8th March

Dynamic Chiropractic is Sale offered a warm welcome on a very windy day to everyone at their official opening on Saturday 8th March. The Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Team, headed up by the Club owner, Neil Morris came to cut the ribbon at 11 o'clock, whilst glasses of bubbly and teas and coffee were being served.

A short speech was delivered by the Clinic manager, Jenny Clark, who thanked everyone for coming out on such a blustery day. Mr Chamberlain, 87, was the Guest of Honour; he had only stopped ice skating at the age of 76 and it was fitting that he should be stood next to the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Team. Later that week he watched The Phoenix beat the Edinburgh Capitals 5:3!

The clinic recently won the PPQM (Patient Partnership Quality Mark) which recognises those clinics that exceed in terms of patients' medical care; they are the only clinic in Cheshire to be awarded such an honour.

Doug Clark, Chiropractor said, "We had a great day today. Whilst Dynamic Chiropractic has been in Sale for many years, we wanted to celebrate our move into such a lovely new premises. By combining the official Opening with an Open Day, it allowed people to come and meet our team of practitioners informally and have a bit of fun at the same time!"

"Because offering Free Consultations at the Open Day proved so popular, the clinic has decided to extend this offer, enabling people to come and discuss how their aches and pains can be helped with one of the Chiropractors."

National Award Winning Clinic

Dynamic Chiropractic - National Award Winning Clinic

Dynamic Chiropractic, based in Sale has been awarded the PPQM (Patient Partnership Quality Mark) by the College of Chiropractors. They are the only clinic in the County to have won the award, with only 27 being awarded nationally.

Dr. Doug Clark, Principal Chiropractor is delighted, "It confirms that we have a very strong focus on providing excellent patient care. We aim to alleviate patient's pain as quickly as possible and to keep them pain free once they are better. We do this by encouraging maintenance visits, just like going to the dentists every three months."

The College of Chiropractors launched the PPQM in order to recognise excellence in terms of meeting patient expectations. The Clinic demonstrates that they not only meet, but exceed patient's needs in terms of appointment availability, treatment delivery, communication, privacy, cleanliness and costs.

The team of Chiropractors at Dynamic Chiropractic are all State Registered and highly qualified. Chiropractic uses gentle controlled adjustments to correct any misalignment of the joints, freeing trapped nerves and relieving muscular aches and pains.

Dr. Jemma Bransby from Dynamic Chiropractic says, "It is so important to have any twinges looked at before the pain grows worse - painkillers just mask the symptoms. Chiropractors get to the root cause of the problem. Chiropractic is a fast and effective way of treating and preventing injuries.

At the end of the day, we want to get our patients better and keep them better."

Dynamic Chiropractic works closely with other medical professions, such as G.Ps, Consultants and Physios. The Chiropractors can view X-rays and MRI's with patients and explain what is causing the problem and what can be done. The Clinic has a strong sporting connection and is delighted to work with The Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Team, players from Sale Sharks, Lancashire Cricket Club and athletes from the British Track and Field Team.

As a result of the Clinic's success they were invited to attend the College's inaugural Awards Dinner at the Royal Society, London on Wednesday 16th January. Dr. Clark was presented with the Award by Mr Hew Helps, from the Chiropractic Patients Association.
